This vacation budget app supports USD, CAD, GBP, EUR, AUD, NZD, JPY, and MXN as home currencies. Goals, savings, expenses, and reports use the selected home currency.
Important: Changing the home currency relabels existing amounts; it does not convert them. Foreign-charge entries can store the original amount, currency code, exchange rate, and converted home-currency amount, but the app does not retrieve live exchange rates.
Private by design
No bank connection is required.
Your vacation plan is stored in the browser on the device you use. The app does not automatically synchronize financial data between devices. Use the included backup and restore tools to protect your plan, move it to another browser or device, or keep a separate copy before clearing browser data.

Can one trip take several years to fund?
Yes. You can keep a long-term dream trip active while saving for and taking shorter vacations in the meantime.
Does it work for cruises, camping, resorts, and international travel?
Yes. Twelve starting options cover common vacation types, and every envelope can be customized. The trip templates are a useful starting point, not a restriction.
Does the app connect to my bank?
No. You enter contributions, commitments, purchases, and refunds yourself. This keeps the system simple and avoids sharing bank credentials with the app.
Will my plan automatically sync between devices?
No. The plan is stored in that browser on that device. Export a backup and import it when you want to move or restore the complete plan.
Does it automatically convert currencies?
No. The app can preserve foreign-charge reference details and the converted home-currency amount you enter, but it does not fetch live exchange rates or convert existing balances when the home currency changes.
Is there a monthly fee?
No. Vacation Envelope™ is a one-time app purchase with no recurring subscription.
Is anything shipped or downloaded?
No physical item is shipped. The purchase unlocks the app in your Every Dollar Grows account under My Account → My Apps.
